Mucho trabajo....

There is much work to be done at the workshop. I have been quite the busy bee making handbags, printing shirts, and making free button/sticker packs to include with the many orders:]. I've made some new bag patterns that are larger than I'm used to, but I've listened to the many requests for an over-sized bag that's not a tote. Another new addition to the bag family is the color yellow. I thought it fitting to include a sunny fabric to welcome the new season. It already feels like summer here, we've already had our first storm, hurricane Andrea, a whole month early.
We had a nice little break last week when Ronnie, my partner in crime, had a group show,"The FB Initiative". Each artist painted a wall and the fourth artist did a video installation. The video was an assortment of short films by Care Chimba. In between the short films he spliced in video of all the different ways he had woken up his little brothers throughout the years. The short films were humorous at times featuring his younger brothers as colorful characters. The show also featured work by AHOLSNIFFSGLUE, who has contributed a couple of designs to our store, and work by Andrew Whitehead.
My favorite by far was Ronnie's wall. I got to see the progression of the wall as he worked on it and was thrilled to see it all come together along with some small paintings that were included. I was lucky enough to sneak some pictures before the show began.

The following night we had the pleasure of seeing The Electric Bunnies and The Jacuzzi boys play at "The FB Initiative". All in all a fun couple of nights. And now back to work.

ahh! My friend is Katrina from Eclectica over in that same area. She told me about you and I was supposed to go check out that space, but I never made it! I am glad I got to check out some pics of it though!

Are you going to go Stitch Rock?

Thanks:]. Sorry you couldn't make it out to the show. This is actually the first I'm hearing about Stitch Rock, so I don't know if I'll be able to go.
